Aramis Collagen Remodeling
Are you ready for the solution to aging skin? The Aramis laser for collagen building is your answer. Collagen remodeling is a process that involves heating the dermis (lower level of the skin) while simultaneously cooling the overlying skin to protect it. This stimulates the natural production of neo-collagen. This neo-collagen gradually improves fine lines and wrinkles. Overall, you can expect your skin to regain tonicity giving an overall more firm, smooth, younger appearance.
The Aramis laser is designed and developed for collagen remodeling. It can safely and effectively treat any skin type including tanned skin with essentially no side effects. The laser uses a cooling tip that protects and “numbs” the skin. Any discomfort has been described as a rubber band snap. Treatments take 10 minute to 1 hour depending upon the area being treated. Any age sensitive area can be treated including the areas around the eyes, mouth chin, neck, chest and hands. You will be able to return to normal activity immediately with any evidence of having a treatment. Typically, a series of 4 to 5 treatments is administered at 1 month intervals. Because the aging process is continuous, a maintenance treatment is necessary every 6 months. Your skin care regimen and laser follow up instructions will need to be followed to prevent complication and improve results. Consultations are required to determine if this treatment is appropriate for you. In many circumstances, treatments can be performed the same day (if this has been arranged when scheduling your appointment). If the treatment is desired the same day, you must have avoided sun exposure (significant) 1 week. You should then plan on staying out of the sun for 1 week after the treatment. A microdermabrasion and/or chemical peel may be recommended 1 to 2 weeks after your treatment to improve your results.
Production of new collagen is a natural process, occurring over time, so improvement will not be noticeable right away. The change will be very gradual and will not become apparent until after the third treatment. Collagen remodeling can be combined with other treatments, such as micro-dermabrasion and/or chemical peel, to improve skin texture. When performed with BOTOX, it makes a great combination. The BOTOX will relax the muscles that are causing the wrinkles while the Aramis stimulates neo-collagen to improve wrinkles well beyond what either treatment would produce alone. Because we want the best for you, we offer 50% Aramis Collagen Remodeling to the same areas treated with BOTOX.
Maintaining healthy looking skin is a daily task. Both a healthy lifestyle and the proper skin care regimen are necessary to maintain your results. Avoid tobacco and alcohol, and stay well hydrated. Antioxidants such as SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic as well as the continued use of exfoliating creams or serums are very important. However, the most important cosmoceutical is your sunblock, especially immediately after the procedure. Always wear a “full” spectrum sunblock with an SPF of 20 or higher to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays. Your skin care specialist will recommend an individualized skin care program to maximize and maintain your results. We may recommend that you start your program prior to your treatment in order to prep your skin. This will help to attain the desired results and minimize risk of complications.
Once the initial series of treatments have been completed, periodic maintenance treatments will be necessary. These may be recommended up to every 4-6 months depending upon the tobacco use, sun exposure, etc.
